Dissolving Image Rollver script adds a dissolving effect during an image change A beefed up version of the classic rollover image, this script adds a dissolving effect during image change in IE4 . The script works across all browsers, though as alluded to, only IE4 will experience the added transition. Just for the uninitiated, a rollover image requires that you specify two images- one while the mouse is not over it, and one for when it is. This script is in fact rather versatile in the kinds of effects it can render. While the default is "dissolving", 23 other transitions are supported as well, everything from "swipe in", "box out", to "fade in." Simply refer to the comments inside to alter the transition.

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
